Phnom Penh, July 28, 2025 – His Excellency President Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, announced the excellent outcome of the meeting between His Excellency,
and His Excellency Phumtham Wechayachai, Acting Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, with both sides agreeing on key points to end tensions and restore peace.

Key results of the meeting:
- Immediate, unconditional ceasefire: The two sides agreed on an immediate, unconditional ceasefire that will come into effect at 24:00 on July 28, 2025. This is an important step towards reducing tensions and restoring peace and security.
- Informal meeting of military zone commanders: An informal meeting of military zone commanders (Thai side, Military Zones 1 and 2 and Cambodian side, Military Zones 4 and 5) will be held at 07:00 on July 29, 2025. In addition, meetings will continue to be held with the military corps and attachments, led by the ASEAN Chairman, if agreed by both sides.
- General Boundary Committee (GBC) Meeting: The two sides will also organize a Cambodia-Thailand General Boundary Committee (GBC) Meeting on August 4, 2025, which Cambodia will host.
Prime Minister Hun Manet also thanked His Excellency Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for initiating the meeting and hosting it.
He also thanked His Excellency President Donald Trump for supporting the process of negotiating an immediate ceasefire to build peace through the United States,
as the co-host of today’s meeting. Finally, he also thanked the Chinese government for its continued support and encouragement for both sides to seek a ceasefire and for actively.
