The Xiaomi 15T has arrived, continuing the T-series tradition of blending flagship-level features with a more accessible price point.

This year’s model focuses on significant upgrades in performance, battery life, and display technology, positioning it as a powerful contender in the “flagship killer” market.
Here’s a full breakdown of what the Xiaomi 15T offers.
Design and Display
The Xiaomi 15T features a refined and durable design. It sports a “sandwich” construction with a flat 6.83-inch display protected by robust Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

While the frame is reportedly a high-quality plastic, the back panel is a fiberglass substrate, giving it a premium feel and improved durability.
The phone is available in several understated colors, including Black, Gray, and Rose Gold.
A key upgrade for durability is the IP68 rating, which ensures resistance against dust and water (up to 3 meters for 30 minutes), bringing it in line with top-tier flagship expectations.
The display itself is a major highlight. It’s a large 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a sharp 1.5K resolution (approximately 1220 x 2712 pixels).
This screen is built for immersive media and gaming, boasting an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and an astonishing peak brightness of 3200 nits,
ensuring outstanding visibility even in direct sunlight. It also features 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming to reduce eye strain in low-light conditions.
Camera
Xiaomi continues its partnership with Leica, bringing a versatile and powerful triple-camera system to the 15T. The setup is led by a 50MP main camera,
which uses the large 1/1.55″ Omnivision “Light Hunter” 800 sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
This sensor is designed to capture excellent detail and perform well in low light.

It’s complemented by a 50MP telephoto camera, a significant upgrade that uses a Samsung JN5 sensor. This lens provides a 2x optical zoom (46mm focal length) with an f/1.9 aperture and PDAF,
allowing for high-quality zoomed shots and detailed portraits.
The third lens is a 12MP ultrawide camera (using a 13MP OmniVision OV13B sensor) with a 120-degree field of view, perfect for landscapes and group shots.
The Leica collaboration provides a choice between “Leica Authentic” and “Leica Vibrant” color profiles, along with various filters.
For video, the main and telephoto cameras can shoot at up to 4K at 60fps.
On the front, a 32MP wide-angle selfie camera is housed in a central punch-hole, capable of recording 4K video at 30fps.
Software and Performance
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15T is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset. This octa-core processor, built on a 4nm fabrication process, is a performance powerhouse,
delivering flagship-grade speed and efficiency that rivals more expensive chips.

This is paired with 12GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, which ensures that apps launch instantly and multitasking is exceptionally smooth.
On the software front, the 15T runs Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15. The new operating system is cleaner, more intuitive, and packed with AI features.
These include AI-powered image editing in the gallery, real-time AI subtitles, and advanced note summarization.
Xiaomi has also committed to an excellent update policy for the 15T: four major Android OS updates and six years of security patches.
Battery Life and Charging
Battery life is one of the 15T’s strongest assets. It is equipped with a massive 5,500mAh battery, which, combined with the efficiency of the Dimensity 8400 Ultra,
delivers outstanding endurance. Most users can comfortably expect two full days of general use on a single charge.

When it’s time to power up, the phone supports 67W wired fast charging. While not the absolute fastest in Xiaomi’s lineup, it’s very quick,
capable of charging the large battery from nearly empty to 100% in around 40-45 minutes.
Connectivity
The Xiaomi 15T is fully future-proofed in its connectivity. It supports dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6E (with some reports suggesting Wi-Fi 7 capability), Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC for contactless payments.

One of the most unique additions to the 15T series is an “Offline Communication” feature. This allows two 15T series phones to communicate directly with each other via voice call,
much like a walkie-talkie, over a distance of up to 1.9km, even with no cellular service. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos,
and Xiaomi’s signature IR blaster for controlling home appliances.
